Extreme Couponing

I'm on 'vacation' right now visiting my family & friends so naturally I go extreme couponing for household products, right? Makes sense (please note sarcasm). It's ok though. I planned for this so my suitcase has lots of room! This is my first time extreme couponing/shopping in BC so it's not the greatest, however, for the products I got it's pretty decent.

Here's what I got:

2 Dawn Dishwashing Liquid 709ml
1 Swiffer Sweeper Wet Refills 12 pack
1 Head & Shoulders Conditioner 400ml

Total: $6.07 (Tax was $1.51)

My Price:
Dawn Dish Liquid: $0.79 each
Swiffer Refills: $1.99
Head & Shoulders: $0.99
plus Tax

Coupon Brag- Biore Products

I couldn't believe it when I figured out I could get two packages of the Biore Nosestrips for so cheap! My hubby and I love these but I refuse to pay their ridiculous regular price of around $10.99 per box.

So guess how much??

Total: $2.90 for both :)

They were on sale for $7.99 each.
I had a $5 off coupon when you buy 2, and there was an instore promo for $10 off.
Final Price: $0.49 per box + tax
I love coupons.

Mother's Coupon Alert

Keep your eye out for product offers!

My Mom loves shopping at Safeway (even though their prices are ridiculous sometimes). The nice thing about Safeway is they often have those play ticket giveaways when you purchase groceries and certain products. Mom received one of the tickets and entered the PIN online and won a free box of cereal. She then went to the store, purchased a cereal (in this case, fibre1) which had a coupon on it for a free frozen yogurt or icecream any brand, upto $5. Now THAT's the way to coupon.

Swagbucks: Earning free stuff!

Remember when 'swag' was the cool term years ago? Well now you can get your own 'swag' for free. My sister in law (thank you, Brittany!) introduced me to this site a little while back. It, basically, is a search engine site that earns you points (or 'swagbucks') and the more points you get, the better the prizes you can redeem! So far I've saved up enough to buy me a $10 Starbucks giftcard..... free!

How does it work?

Everytime you use the Swagbucks tool bar (which you can download after signing up for it) you'll get the chance to win Swagbucks. So say for instance you want to go to Facebook; instead of typing facebook.com, you'll want to search in the Swagbucks toolbar 'facebook' then you'll earn Swagbucks. Basically it's just like google but instead you earn free stuff. If you're search was a winner it will say "Congratulations! You've earned *so many* Swagbucks!". Every 3 or so searches you will usually win anywhere from 5 to 12 to even 50 swagbucks.

First you have to sign up or register for Swagbucks. If you'd like to be refered by me (and help me earn points) then link is here:

Coupon Brag- Body Wash

Here's the coupon deals I discovered this week:

#1) Shopper's Drug Mart

-Oral B toothbrushes are on sale for $1 each, unfortunately my local store had none but the deal ends this friday so hopefully you can snatch one up

#2) Sobey's
 Olay Body Wash 345ml

Reg Price: approx. $4.99-6.99
Sale Price: $3.99
Coupon Deal: Buy 2, Save $5
 (from P&G brandsaver newspaper inserts)
Final Price: $2.98 or $1.49 each

With couponing, it's best for you to take note of what coupons you have and search for the best deals that week. If the deals are not so great, or even if it's a product you wouldn't use, don't use the coupon!

Patience is a virtue.

Start out slow. Depending on the store policies, majority only allow one coupon per product.

Favourite Eyebrow Product

As you noticed, I am all for a deal and when I was scanning my local drugstores shelves I noticed Maybelline had their infamous Great Lash Mascara but in clear. Hmmm. Clear now? I've been searching for a cheaper alternative to tame my eyebrows and this might just work. Plus side? It's cheap! Even cheaper when it's on sale ;). So I did a little research like a good student and discovered my brilliance was not alone. Turns out quite a few people use this product. I love it. It dries clear and helps you tackle those bushy brows! Plus it doesn't have a waxy or sticky feel to it. It doesn't even make your eyebrows hard like most eyebrow products. Only thing is after awhile the clear product turns a little cloudy (eww) but that's to be expected when you're reusing the same applicator.
